Retail School Based Traineeships
Introduction
Deciding which subjects to study for the final year of high school is one of the most important decisions many young people make. This page is designed to assist Crew Members and parents to make an informed decision where a traineeship is being considered as part of the QCE Points/Grade 12 Certificate
McDonald's offers Nationally Accredited Training. In fact, McDonald's was one of the very first private enterprises to issue Nationally recognised Qualifications. Such qualifications include the Certificate II in Retail through to the Advanced Diploma of Management.
School Based Traineeships are a great way for restaurants to show their commitment and also recognise the ongoing efforts of their Crew Members. They also provide Crew Members the opportunity to receive formal recognition forUC the skills that they learn in the workplace. Participants receive a Certificate II or Certificate III in retail upon completion. This is a great way to kick start your career at McDonald's and it is a Nationally Recognised Qualification so you can take it with you anywhere.
What is a School Based Traineeship?
As part of the process, a Traineeship Training Contract is signed by McDonald's, the Crew Member, your school and is registered with the QLD Department of Education and Training (DET).
